Bowness Escape FAQs
What ages can play?
Due to the complexity of the rooms, we wouldn't recommend them to children under the age of 10 years, however we will leave this decision to the parents/guardian as to whether they feel their children will get the most from the games. Any parties under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
Accessibility and special requirement
Access for wheelchairs are available on the ground floor only, consisting of one escape room.Unfortunately the toilets are located downstairs as is one escape room (The Cutting Room)
Will I be scared?
The rooms are a good size and you should not feel enclosed at any time. You can leave the rooms at any time if you become anxious or feel unwell and we monitor the games throughout. There are no live action participants however there may well be a few surprises along the way.
Who is it suitable for?
Mostly everyone. Groups, couples, friends, families, parties, events, birthdays, solstice celebrations, the list is endless.
Are we dog friendly?
Yes absolutely. We understand the lakes is the second home to many dogs in the area so we are more than happy to accommodate canine friends alongside bookings.
Do we offer discounts?
We sure do. Students, NHS staff, emergency service and police will all get 10% off all games and cafe items. Please bring valid ID for your discount to be approved.
Can I buy vouchers?
Absolutely. They make a great gift and can be purchased for any occasion. Vouchers can be bought in £10, £20 or £50 quantities. Please ask in store for details.
Can I come in after having a drink?
Yes, it makes good fun, I can agree to that. However, please note that people who are clearly overly intoxicated will not be permitted to play the games and any individuals/groups who cause damage will be liable to cover the cost of damages incurred.
